It may take a while to download, just be patient! This is a condensed version of the game. Certain features have been stripped but the core gameplay is available to test.
**None of the card artwork belongs to me, I used images from the net to form a proof of concept for the game. If you like the project, be sure to head over to the Satry Games Patreon and show some support. I am hoping to get an artist started on custom artwork ASAP!
Version Notes:- New round tracker with team logo
- Several updated animations
- Added 5 premade decks for each character
- Experience gains disabled
- New character recruitment disabled
- Training complex removed
- Deck saving disabled
For anyone who wants to try this out, tutorials aren't really in place so you'll have to watch videos (mainly the 3rd one) on the creator's blog for instructions.
ReplyDeleteI played 3-5 games and I'm liking this a ton. This has potential to be both an interesting and sexy game. I like that there are different styles of decks such as combo and mill.
The positioning is a bit buggy - quite often you won't have things lining up right or you'll have people in different positions. But it seems like an interesting mechanic.
Transitions between turns and games themselves can take a bit longer than I expected. Hopefully this will get better as the game gets streamlined and the ui gets improved.
Balance wise:
It seems like getting locked out of the positions where your cards function is very punishing. Since you and your opponent often have entirely different positions where your cards function, your opponent winning this battle means that you're stuck with a hand full of dead cards. Thus games can be decided by who draws more position cards.
Overall, a very promising start. I'm looking forward to watching this game develop.
Thank you for the feedback! I will be addressing some of the balance issues that you mentioned, particularly the hand deadlock, in the next build.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't have any qualms with doing a gay/lesbian league in SML, but I am currently super busy with just the hetero stuff! Maybe in the future if I raise the funds and there is enough demand.
DeleteDownloaded the demo, but stymied by login and password combo on the starting page?
ReplyDeleteIn the Demo, I set up the login page solely for testing. It's not necessary to actually login, you should be able to just hit the "Confirm" button to continue. I will likely change or remove it in the next build. Let me know if that solves the issue.
